Registration of Parish based Associations and Constituency based SACCOs

In consultation with the Ministry of Trade Industry and Cooperatives (MTIC), Byelaws were customized to facilitate the registration of Specialized Emyooga SACCOs. Also Emyooga Association Constitutions were provided by MSC to ease registration of the SACCO members.

MSC has so far issued out over 29,250 Bylaws to SACCOs free of charge. To facilitate savings by the beneficiary members of the Emyooga Associations, MSC customized passbooks for members and issued out over 1.4Million passbooks to the beneficiaries, FREE of charge.

The Associations register at Sub County and District level whereas the SACCOs are registered by Ministry of Trade Industry & Cooperatives (MTIC). The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives (MTIC) has so far issued 6,054 certificates to enable SACCOs operate legally.

MSC conducted validation exercises aimed at assessing actual existence, legal status, operations, membership and leadership structures of the SACCOs.
